Clinical Application

Designed for controlled intranasal cutting and tissue trimming in otolaryngology procedures. This pattern is used to excise or contour mucosa and small cartilaginous fragments during septoplasty, inferior turbinate reduction, functional endoscopic sinus surgery adjuncts, and polypectomy. The long shaft and narrow profile facilitate access to deep or narrow nasal corridors under direct vision or endoscopic guidance, enabling precise tissue removal while minimizing collateral trauma.

Design & Configuration

The extended 19 cm shaft provides reach into the nasal cavity without sacrificing hand clearance outside the nostril, improving ergonomics for the primary operator. The Figure 2 cutting jaw delivers a defined cutting edge geometry optimized for controlled shearing of soft tissue and small cartilage pieces in confined spaces. A slim cross-section of the shaft reduces obstruction of the visual field and helps maintain instrument alignment with endoscopes and suction devices.
