Clinical Application

Designed for otolaryngology procedures that require controlled engagement and retraction of posterior nasal structures, this instrument is used to expose the choanae, palpate or delineate the posterior nasal airway, and retract mucosa or soft tissue during endoscopic sinus surgery, choanal atresia repair, septoplasty and related nasal procedures. The hooked probe end permits atraumatic capture of the posterior choanal edge or soft tissue for assessment, positioning, and controlled retraction while providing a tactile feedback useful to the surgeon.
