Clinical Application
This aspirating curette is designed for targeted sampling and debridement of soft tissue lesions where controlled curettage and specimen capture are required. The instrument is used to scrape and collect tissue from mucosal surfaces, small cavities, or confined anatomical spaces while maintaining suction through the instrument lumen to retain the sample and evacuate blood or fluid. Common applications include ENT, oral/maxillofacial, dermatologic and minor surgical procedures that require precise, low‑volume biopsy or removal of granulation tissue.
Design & Configuration
The Randall pattern combines a spoon-shaped curette tip with a hollow shaft to allow simultaneous curettage and aspiration. The 2 mm diameter tip provides a small, precise cutting edge suitable for focal lesions and narrow anatomy. A 24 cm shaft length offers extended reach into deeper or less accessible cavities while preserving tactile feedback. The slender profile minimizes tissue disruption and helps control hemostasis by allowing continuous suction at the point of tissue capture.
