Clinical Application
Designed to facilitate controlled dissection and secure ligature placement in deep or confined operative fields. The instrument's slim jaw profile and extended length allow surgeons to reach and encircle small vessels, ducts or tissue pedicles and to pass suture or ligature around structures with tactile control. Typical use cases include vascular ligation, urologic procedures, gynecologic dissections, ENT exposure and selected general surgery tasks where precise ligation and blunt dissection are required.
Design & Configuration
The ring-handle design with an integrated ratchet provides stable, adjustable clamping during ligation and traction. The Fig. 5 curved geometry follows anatomic contours to improve access around vessels and into deep pockets while keeping the surgeon's line of sight clear. The long, narrow shaft reduces bulk in the wound and enables controlled blunt spreading and dissection—important when creating tunnels or passing ties in confined spaces.
