Clinical Application
Designed for precise bone curettage and debridement, this round bone curette is used to remove loose or necrotic bone, scrape cystic or granulation tissue from osseous defects, and harvest small quantities of cancellous bone. Its round, spoon-like cutting edge is particularly useful in confined or irregular cavities encountered in orthopedic, spine, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial procedures where controlled, atraumatic scooping is required.
Design & Configuration
The round (scoop-shaped) tip provides a smooth circumferential cutting edge that distributes force and reduces the risk of unintended gouging compared with sharp-pointed instruments. At 17.5 cm overall length the instrument offers reach into deeper exposures while preserving tactile feedback for the surgeon. The Fig.0 designation denotes a smaller round profile suitable for fine curettage in tight anatomical spaces.
