Clinical Application

This straight bone curette with a Fig. 3 tip is intended for controlled scraping and debridement of bone and adherent soft tissue. It is used to remove necrotic bone, curette small cortical defects, obtain small cancellous bone samples, and define margins in confined anatomic spaces. Typical specialties include orthopedics, ENT/middle-ear and mastoid work, maxillofacial, hand and foot surgery where a small, precise scoop is required.
