Clinical Application
Designed to obtain mucosal and submucosal tissue samples from the rectum and distal sigmoid colon, this instrument is used during diagnostic and procedural settings where targeted biopsy and intact specimen retrieval are required. It is suitable for use through anoscopes and proctoscopes or under direct visualization during outpatient and operative proctologic procedures.
Design & Configuration
The elongated 42 cm shaft provides reach into the rectum and distal sigmoid while maintaining shaft rigidity for controlled advancement and withdrawal. The specimen-oriented jaw geometry captures and retains small mucosal samples to minimize specimen loss on extraction. A slim shaft profile eases passage through accessory ports and anoscopic instruments, and the handle geometry permits precise one-handed control for repeatable sampling.
