Clinical Application

Designed for precise, atraumatic subperiosteal and soft-tissue elevation during delicate cranial, craniofacial and ENT procedures. Its raspatory tip is used to separate pericranium and soft tissue from bone, to develop dural planes during craniotomy exposure, and for controlled blunt dissection around confined or sensitive anatomy where preservation of underlying dura or mucosa is essential.

Design & Configuration

The bayonet (offset) profile preserves the surgeon’s line of sight by displacing the shaft away from the visual axis, allowing unobstructed visualization of the operative field while the tip engages tissue. The Fig. 2 geometry denotes a specific offset angle and working profile suited to reach into narrow corridors and around curved bone surfaces. The raspatory tip provides a broad, atraumatic surface for lifting and cleaving soft tissue from bone without sharp cutting edge engagement, improving tactile feedback and reducing the risk of inadvertent puncture.

Instrument Specifications

  • Length: 19 cm
  • Shape: Bayonet (offset) configuration
  • Tip: Raspatory (spatulated/blunt) for subperiosteal and soft-tissue elevation
  • Primary uses: Neurosurgery (craniotomy exposure), craniofacial procedures, ENT dissections
  • Construction: Surgical stainless steel, reusable

Material & Construction

Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel to resist corrosion and withstand repeated sterilization cycles. The raspatory working tip is formed to provide a smooth, atraumatic surface for blunt dissection while retaining sufficient stiffness for controlled elevation of periosteum and soft tissue. Reusable design intended for standard hospital sterilization protocols.

Quality & Compliance

Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.

Brand Comparison

Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
