Clinical Application
Long, curved placenta forceps designed for controlled grasping and extraction of the placenta and retained products from the uterine cavity. Commonly used in vaginal deliveries and postpartum management, as well as during procedures where atraumatic removal or traction of placental tissue is required. The 28 cm length provides reach into the uterine cavity while allowing the operator to maintain a comfortable working distance.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry follows the anatomical contour of the uterus to improve access and reduce the need for excessive manipulation. Fenestrated oval jaws distribute grip pressure across placental tissue, improving purchase on slippery or friable tissue while minimizing focal crushing. The shaft length balances reach and control for both vaginal and cesarean contexts where longer instruments may be required.
