Clinical Application
Designed for controlled scraping and debridement of soft tissue, this double-ended curette is used to remove granulation tissue, scar tissue, small lesions or to obtain curetted biopsy material. Its length and dual-tip configuration make it suitable for use in procedures across ENT, dermatology, gynecology, oral/maxillofacial and general surgery where precise tissue removal or sampling is required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features two differently numbered ends (Fig.0 and Fig.1) to provide alternative tip profiles without exchanging instruments during a case. The 13.5 cm overall length balances reach with control, allowing access into superficial to moderately deep cavities while preserving tactile feedback. A slender shaft and opposing tip geometries facilitate controlled engagement of tissue and improve maneuverability in confined spaces.
