Clinical Application
A precision bone curette intended for focused scraping and controlled removal of bone and soft tissue from small or confined operative sites. Commonly used for curettage of cortical and cancellous bone, trimming bone margins, removing granulation tissue, and focal debridement in orthopedic subspecialties such as hand and wrist, foot and ankle, small-bone trauma, and select neurosurgical and ENT bone procedures. The Fig.0 cup size is suited for fine, delicate work where tactile feedback and controlled scooping are required.
Design & Configuration
The Volkmann-style scoop provides a concave cutting edge that facilitates precise scraping and scooping motions. An angled shaft improves line-of-sight and access to recesses or cortical surfaces without excessive soft-tissue retraction. The Fig.0 designation denotes a smaller cup geometry, allowing for refined control in tight operative fields. The 17 cm overall length balances reach with manual control for procedures that require access beyond the immediate wound edge while maintaining surgeon tactile feedback.
