Clinical Application
Designed to provide atraumatic lateral separation of the nostrils for direct visualization of the anterior nasal cavity. Commonly used in clinic and operating-room settings for diagnostic nasal endoscopy preparation, anterior septal evaluation and repair, removal of foreign bodies, cautery or topical treatments, and minor intranasal procedures where a stable, unobstructed field is required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a two-blade (duckbill-style) configuration that gently spreads the nasal ala to expose the vestibule, anterior septum and lower turbinate. An adjustable expansion mechanism allows the operator to open and lock the blades at a controlled width, improving visualization while minimizing tissue trauma. The slim, low-profile geometry keeps the working field accessible for suction, instrumentation and illumination.
