Clinical Application
Designed for controlled bone curettage and debridement, this straight bone curette is used to remove necrotic bone, scrape cortical surfaces, shape bone margins, and evacuate small cystic contents. It is suitable for a range of procedures including orthopedic trauma, hand and foot surgery, ENT procedures involving bony work, spinal decompression, and other surgical situations that require precise scraping of bone and targeted removal of soft tissue from a bony surface.
Design & Configuration
The straight shaft provides direct axial alignment between the surgeon's hand and the working tip, enabling deliberate forward pressure and fine tactile feedback during curettage. The Fig.2 tip profile offers a compact scoop/oval geometry for controlled engagement with cortical and cancellous surfaces while minimizing collateral soft-tissue contact. At 16 cm overall length, the instrument balances reach for deeper or confined surgical sites with in-hand control for precise maneuvers.
