Clinical Application

Designed to facilitate controlled irrigation, aspiration and targeted instillation of solutions in otologic procedures. Commonly used in ENT clinics, ambulatory surgery centers and operating rooms for removal of cerumen, debris or fluid from the external auditory canal and for delivery or aspiration of topical medications and irrigation fluids. The angled profile supports better access to the canal while minimizing contact with the tympanic membrane.

Design & Configuration

The Figure 2 geometry provides a deliberate angle to the catheter shaft that improves line-of-sight and instrument ergonomics when working within the confined space of the external auditory canal. The hollow tubular tip permits controlled flow for irrigation or suction, while the rounded, atraumatic opening reduces the risk of snagging canal skin. The overall configuration supports single-handed manipulation for precise positioning and fluid control.
