Clinical Application
This handheld punch forceps is designed to obtain precise, circular tissue cores and to excise small soft-tissue lesions with controlled bite and minimal lateral tissue trauma. The 5.5 mm punch diameter produces reproducible specimen size for histologic assessment. Indications include mucosal and superficial soft-tissue biopsy, small lesion excision, polypectomy or debridement in ENT, dermatologic, oral/maxillofacial and general surgical settings where a small, clean core is required.
Design & Configuration
The forceps-style punch integrates a grasping/holding mechanism with a concentric punching tip to allow single-handed positioning and deployment. The 20 cm overall length provides working reach for deeper cavities or when additional working distance is required. The circular punch tip yields a consistent specimen diameter and helps limit crush artifact by concentrating cutting force to the circumferential edge.
