Clinical Application
This instrument is intended to provide controlled lateral retraction of the anterior nasal vestibule and nasal cavity to facilitate direct visualization and access during routine ENT examinations and minor procedures. It is used in clinic and procedural settings for inspection of the anterior nares, removal of anterior foreign bodies, topical treatments, hemostasis and as an adjunct during limited nasal procedures that require unobstructed anterior exposure.
Design & Configuration
The two‑blade spreading design creates symmetric lateral retraction of the nasal vestibule and anterior mucosa, improving line-of-sight into the nasal cavity and allowing instrumentation alongside the speculum. A length of 13.5 cm provides reach appropriate for anterior nasal work while maintaining tactile control for the operator. The hand geometry and spread mechanism allow fine adjustment of exposure, aiding precise inspection and interventions in the anterior nasal segment.
