Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled exposure of the pelvic cavity during open and transabdominal procedures. The asymmetrical blade pair supports simultaneous retraction of superficial tissue and deeper pelvic structures, making the instrument useful for low anterior resections, pelvic dissection, hysterectomy exposure, urologic access, and other procedures requiring sustained, focused retraction in a confined pelvic space.
Design & Configuration
The asymmetric blade geometry—one smaller blade and one substantially larger blade—allows the assistant or surgeon to tailor retraction to layered anatomy: the smaller blade for localized tissue elevation and the larger blade for broader surface retraction. A 33 cm overall length provides additional reach for deep pelvis working corridors while keeping the handle clear of the operative field. The handheld design gives tactile feedback and immediate adjustability, which is helpful when precise directional retraction is required in narrow spaces.
