Clinical Application

Designed for safe, atraumatic exploration and localization of lumens and tracts, this buttoned probe is used to identify and follow fistulae, sinus tracts and ductal channels, confirm patency, and assist blunt dissection. Its narrow 2 mm buttoned tips are suited to small-caliber ducts and tracts encountered in ENT, general, breast and minor procedures where controlled tactile feedback and minimal tissue trauma are required.

Design & Configuration

The double-ended configuration provides immediate access from either orientation without changing instruments, improving workflow when probing from different directions. Rounded "button" tips reduce the risk of tissue perforation and catching on friable tissue compared with sharp probes, allowing controlled advancement along a tract. The 13 cm overall length offers sufficient reach for most superficial-to-mid depth explorations while preserving tactile feel and manual control.
