Clinical Application
Designed to provide secure, atraumatic occlusion of intestinal segments during open abdominal procedures. Commonly used during bowel resection, anastomosis, stoma formation and other general or colorectal surgery where temporary control of luminal contents is required. The atraumatic jaw profile minimizes mucosal compression and tissue crushing while maintaining hemostatic control of the lumen.
Design & Configuration
The curved 33 cm shaft geometry facilitates access into the depth of the abdominal cavity and allows the clamp to be aligned along the curvature of bowel loops, improving visibility and ergonomics for the surgeon. A ratchet locking mechanism and robust box lock provide reliable, sustained occlusion without slippage. The atraumatic jaw interface is intended to distribute pressure across the bowel wall to reduce the risk of localized ischemic injury compared with sharp or toothed clamps.
