Clinical Application

This super-curved tonsil forceps is intended for atraumatic grasping, traction and removal of tonsillar tissue, intraoperative placement or retrieval of packing, and controlled tissue manipulation in the tonsillar fossa and oropharynx. The geometry supports secure hold and line-of-sight preservation during standard tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy procedures as well as other oropharyngeal interventions where deep access and precise tissue control are required.

Design & Configuration

The super-curved (s-cvd) shaft provides an angled approach to the tonsillar bed, permitting better access around the posterior pillar and into the tonsillar fossa without levering the scope of exposure. Closed-ring handles deliver consistent finger control and tactile feedback for fine manipulation and secure closure. The tonsil-style jaws are designed to hold soft tissue securely while minimizing slippage during traction and removal.
