Clinical Application
This spoon-shaped Schede bone curette is intended for blunt curettage and controlled scraping of bone and soft osseous debris. The Fig.4 tip provides a defined scoop profile suitable for removing granulation tissue, debriding cortical surfaces, shaping small cavities, and harvesting cancellous bone in procedures across orthopedics, ENT, maxillofacial and select neurosurgical and dental applications. The 17 cm length gives reach into deeper sites while maintaining tactile feedback for precise manual control.
Design & Configuration
The Fig.4 scoop geometry concentrates scraping force at the leading edge while providing a concave working surface to capture removed material. This design facilitates controlled curettage in confined cavities and along curved bony surfaces. A long, rigid shaft transmits fine tactile feedback to the operator and improves access to deeper operative fields without excessive hand intrusion into the wound.
