Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled, partial occlusion of large vessels during anastomosis and vascular reconstruction. Commonly used in vascular, cardiothoracic, transplant and hepatic procedures where temporary isolation of a segment of artery or vein is required without completely interrupting distal perfusion. The long-jaw geometry facilitates clamping across a wide vessel surface to help create a bloodless field at the repair site while minimizing localized trauma.
Design & Configuration
The long, partial-occluding blades distribute pressure along the vessel to reduce focal compression and endothelial injury compared with small-tip clamps. A robust locking mechanism secures the clamp position to maintain consistent occlusion during suturing and manipulation. The shaft length and jaw reach are selected to improve access in deep or confined operative fields and to permit clamping across a broad vessel circumference for safe anastomotic work.
