Clinical Application
Heavy-duty curved hemostatic forceps designed to provide secure, atraumatic occlusion of medium-to-large vessels and soft tissue bundles during open surgical procedures. Frequently used in general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, trauma, and vascular cases for achieving proximal hemostasis prior to ligation or division, controlling bleeding in deep wounds, and temporarily holding tissue while sutures or clips are placed.
Design & Configuration
The curved Rochester-Pean geometry directs the jaws around anatomical contours and into deeper operative fields while keeping the handles accessible to the surgeon. Ring handles with a multi-step ratchet lock allow progressive closing force and reliable retention of position without constant manual pressure. Full transverse serrations across the jaw provide broad surface contact to distribute clamping pressure and reduce slippage when engaging larger vessels or tissue bundles.
