Clinical Application
Designed to provide wide, atraumatic exposure of the abdominal wall and superficial viscera during open procedures. The broad blade is intended to distribute retraction forces across a larger surface area, improving access to the operative field in general surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, gynecologic and urologic cases, cesarean delivery, and trauma laparotomies. It is used for hand-held retraction by an assistant or surgeon to maintain exposure of incisions and operative planes.
Design & Configuration
The broad 100 x 120 mm paddle blade gives a large contact surface that reduces focal pressure on tissue compared with narrow hooks. The 31 cm overall length provides reach into the abdominal cavity while keeping the assistant's hands clear of the field. An ergonomically contoured handle allows secure manual control and stable tissue displacement. This geometry helps maintain consistent exposure with less need for frequent repositioning and minimizes tissue pinching at the blade edge.
Instrument Specifications
