Clinical Application

Provides atraumatic access to the distal rectum and anal canal for direct visualization, anoscopic evaluation, and minor proctologic interventions. Commonly used for inspection and treatment of hemorrhoids, evaluation of mucosal disease, application of topical therapies, and as a conduit for targeted instrumentation and suture placement within the anorectal canal.

Design & Configuration

The tubular anoscope-style geometry centers and dilates the anal canal to expose the distal rectal mucosa while minimizing tissue trauma. A removable obturator permits smooth insertion and protects mucosa during placement; once removed, the fenestrated lumen allows passage of instruments, suction, and irrigation. The short, rigid profile facilitates direct line-of-sight inspection and precise instrument control in confined anatomic space.
