Clinical Application

The Recamier-style flexible curette is designed for controlled blunt scraping and tissue removal within confined cavities. It is commonly used in gynecologic procedures for endometrial sampling, removal of retained products of conception, and gentle curettage where a rounded loop provides atraumatic engagement of soft tissue. The flexible shaft enables navigation through the cervical canal and variable uterine angulation while maintaining tactile feedback to the operator.
