Clinical Application

This flexible blunt curette is designed for intrauterine tissue removal and endometrial sampling during gynecologic procedures such as diagnostic curettage, dilation and curettage (D&C), and evacuation of retained products of conception. The broad, 19 mm blade allows controlled sweeping and scraping motions to collect tissue with fewer passes, aiding efficient specimen retrieval and reducing operative time.

Design & Configuration

The flexible blade geometry provides conformability to the uterine cavity, allowing the surgeon to follow the uterine contour during sweeping motions and to adjust angulation through the instrument shaft. A blunt edge reduces the tendency to incise tissue, favoring scraping and reducing focal stress on the uterine wall.
