Clinical Application

This flexible Recamier curette is intended for controlled blunt curettage and tissue sampling within the uterine cavity. The 14 mm scoop blade is sized for effective endometrial sampling, removal of retained products of conception, and targeted debridement during dilation and curettage procedures. The flexible shaft facilitates negotiation of the cervical canal and adaptation to uterine curvature, helping to improve access while reducing tension on the tissue during sampling.

Design & Configuration

The instrument features a scoop-style (Recamier) blade designed to capture and remove tissue with a scraping motion. A flexible shaft permits the blade to follow the patient’s anatomy, which can be advantageous in non-linear or ante/retroverted uterine cavities and when gentle conformity reduces focal pressure. The 31 cm overall length provides reach for standard adult gynecologic procedures while maintaining tactile feedback for the operator.
