Clinical Application

Designed for controlled retrieval of urinary calculi and fragments during urologic procedures, this Randall kidney stone forceps is used to grasp and extract stones from the renal pelvis, calyces, ureter and bladder. The 23 cm overall length provides reach into deep intrarenal anatomy and through access ports while allowing the surgeon to maintain tactile control during manipulation and removal of irregular fragments.

Design & Configuration

The elongated shaft and ring-handle configuration enable precise manual control and adequate working length for percutaneous or open urologic access. The jaws are configured to capture irregular stone surfaces and fragments securely; the geometry balances grasping strength with atraumatic engagement to minimize mucosal injury. The ring handles permit incremental closing force and reliable release when needed.
