Clinical Application

Designed for urologic stone retrieval, this Randall kidney stone forceps is used to grasp and remove calculi and small fragments from the bladder, ureter, and renal pelvis during endoscopic procedures. The 22 cm shaft length provides reach suitable for transurethral access in cystoscopy and ureteroscopy workflows, enabling controlled capture and extraction of stones and debris with direct visualization through the endoscope.

Design & Configuration

The instrument features a long, rigid shaft terminating in Randall-style jaws (Fig.3) engineered to encircle and secure calculi while minimizing slippage and contact trauma to surrounding mucosa. Ring handles with a ratchet closure allow incremental control of jaw pressure and secure locking once a fragment is engaged, facilitating gentle traction during extraction.
