Clinical Application
This instrument provides controlled elevation and manipulation of the uterus to improve exposure, uterine version, and stabilization during gynecologic procedures. It is commonly used to lift and position the uterus for dilation & curettage, operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopic pelvic procedures and vaginal hysterectomy, and to assist with suturing or hemostasis by creating predictable uterine position and traction.
Design & Configuration
The elevator incorporates a working tip designed to engage the uterine fundus and transmit axial traction without excessive tissue compression. The integrated protective guard surrounds the shaft near the tip to limit insertion depth, shield the cervix and vaginal mucosa from direct contact, and provide tactile feedback to the operator. This configuration aids controlled elevation while minimizing the risk of inadvertent deep placement and improving procedural ergonomics for the surgeon.
