Clinical Application
Provides controlled percutaneous access to body cavities and lumens for introduction of instruments, drains, catheters, or endoscopes in minimally invasive procedures. The 4 F caliber is appropriate when small‑diameter access is required—common in pediatric procedures, endoscopic/diagnostic work, urologic or vascular access, and controlled fluid drainage.
Design & Configuration
The universal trocar-and-cannula configuration separates the sharp obturator (trocar) from the hollow sleeve (cannula), allowing precise puncture followed by secure maintenance of the access channel. An ergonomic handle provides tactile control during insertion and removal and helps protect surrounding tissue. Supplied as a set of four with a handle, the kit supports staged procedures, multiple access points, or rapid replacement of components during cases.
