Clinical Application
This three-piece universal trocar and cannula set provides a controlled percutaneous access port for minimally invasive surgery. The set is intended to establish and maintain an entry channel into body cavities to permit passage of laparoscopic instruments, optics and insufflation tubing, and to enable specimen retrieval when appropriate. It is suitable for primary and secondary ports across a range of laparoscopic procedures in general surgery, gynecology and urology where a durable, reusable access system is preferred.
Design & Configuration
The three-piece configuration separates the obturator (trocar) from the cannula and includes a dedicated handle for insertion and removal. This arrangement allows the clinician to puncture and enter the cavity with the obturator in place and then remove the obturator to leave the cannula as a working channel. The detachable handle provides enhanced manual control and tactile feedback during insertion, reducing the risk of slippage and improving placement precision. The universal pattern is intended for broad compatibility with standard laparoscopic instruments and port accessories.
