Clinical Application
Provides controlled aspiration of blood, secretions and irrigation fluid during a wide range of procedures where a compact, rigid suction instrument is required. The finger cut-off (occlusion) port allows the operator to start and stop suction quickly without changing hand position, improving field visualization in general surgery, minor operative procedures, oral/maxillofacial work and other cases requiring precise fluid management. The included stylet allows clearing of the lumen to restore flow when debris or clots threaten occlusion.
Design & Configuration
The instrument combines a straight rigid suction tube with an integrated finger cut-off port that enables tactile modulation of negative pressure at the tip. This configuration lets the clinician rapidly open or partially occlude suction to adapt to thin secretions versus thicker debris without switching instruments. The removable stylet is sized to pass through the lumen and is used intraoperatively to dislodge material and maintain continuous flow, reducing interruptions during critical portions of a case. At 15.5 cm overall length the profile is compact enough for superficial cavities and close-field work while providing sufficient reach for many intraoperative locations.
Instrument Specifications
- Instrument type: Suction tube with finger cut-off and stylet
- Length: 15.5 cm
- Configuration: Integrated finger occlusion port; removable stylet for lumen patency
- Intended use: Aspiration of blood, pooled fluid and irrigation during procedures
- Reusable surgical instrument
Material & Construction
Manufactured from durable surgical-grade stainless steel and designed for repeated cleaning and sterilization. The stylet is constructed to fit the tube lumen for reliable clearing of debris. The instrument's rigid construction provides tactile feedback and control during aspiration.
Quality & Compliance
