Clinical Application

Design & Configuration

The instrument pairs a removable obturator (trocar) with a matching hollow cannula to create a controlled, protected access tract. The obturator penetrates through the abdominal wall and is withdrawn to leave the cannula in place, providing a stable lumen for instrument exchange. This configuration minimizes repeated tissue disruption and allows rapid conversion between insertion and instrument access. The straight alignment and smooth internal bore of the cannula reduce friction on introduced instruments and scope optics.
