Clinical Application
Provides a compact, focused view of the oropharynx, hypopharynx and larynx for indirect laryngoscopy and routine ENT examinations. The 26 mm diameter mirror is sized to offer a clear, circumscribed visual field while minimizing patient gag reflex and soft-tissue contact, making it useful for examination of pediatric patients and adults with smaller oral cavities. Common uses include assessment of vocal fold mobility, evaluation of lesions or inflammation, pre‑ and post‑operative checks, and localization of foreign bodies.
Design & Configuration
The Fig.8 pattern presents a streamlined rim and compact reflective surface to facilitate insertion and controlled manipulation. The concave mirror geometry provides a stable, magnified indirect image when aligned with the clinician’s line of sight. Supplied without handle, the mirror is intended for use with detachable handles or handle adapters, allowing flexibility in instrument sets and sterilization workflows. The small 26 mm diameter balances field of view with patient comfort and access in restricted oral openings.
