Clinical Application

Designed for use in transoral ENT and laryngology procedures, this upward-curved laryngeal forceps provides direct access to supraglottic and glottic structures during direct or suspension laryngoscopy. It is commonly used to grasp small lesions, remove foreign bodies, manipulate mucosal tissue for biopsy, and assist with exposure and instrumentation in confined airway anatomy. The upward orientation facilitates approaching the larynx from below through a laryngoscope or suspension system while maintaining line-of-sight for the surgeon.

Design & Configuration

The upward-curved shaft geometry positions the jaws toward the anterior and superior aspects of the larynx when introduced through standard laryngoscopes. A 23 cm working length provides reach through a suspension system or rigid laryngoscope while preserving tactile feedback at the handle. The jaw profile is configured to capture small tissue fragments and foreign material within the laryngeal inlet without excessive bulk, enabling precise manipulation in a narrow field.
