Clinical Application
Designed for ENT surgeons and laryngologists, this left-oriented Jurasz laryngeal forceps provides reliable tissue engagement and retrieval during transoral laryngoscopy and microlaryngoscopy. The 23 cm shaft delivers the reach required for working within the oropharynx and larynx while maintaining fine control for grasping mucosal lesions, excised tissue for biopsy, sutures, or foreign bodies under direct visualization or microscope-assisted surgery.
Design & Configuration
The left-curved (left-oriented) Jurasz geometry places the jaws at an angle that improves access to left-sided laryngeal anatomy and enables a more ergonomic approach when working through a laryngoscope or suspension system. The long-shaft configuration balances reach with tactile feedback at the tips, facilitating precise placement and secure grasping in confined airway spaces. The Fig. 2 profile denotes a specific jaw alignment that optimizes tissue approximation from an angled approach commonly used in microlaryngeal technique.
