Clinical Application
Designed for placement of ligatures and deep suture passes in the tonsillar bed and other confined oropharyngeal spaces. The right-curved profile facilitates passage of suture around vascular pedicles and through soft tissue in tonsillectomy, adenotonsillectomy, and related head & neck procedures where controlled, directional needle placement is required.
Design & Configuration
The right curvature orients the needle point toward the surgeon’s working hand and the anatomy of the tonsillar fossa, improving line of entry and visibility when operating in the lateral oropharynx. The long 24 cm shaft provides reach across the oral cavity without excessive hand crossover, allowing the assistant or operator to place ligatures reliably in deep or posterior targets. The curved suture profile helps maintain needle trajectory through soft tissue and reduces the need for repeated repositioning in a restricted field.
