Clinical Application
Designed for airway and upper aerodigestive endoscopic procedures, this long forceps is used to grasp, retrieve or manipulate small foreign bodies and tissue under direct or endoscopic visualization. The 40 cm working length provides the reach required for procedures performed through rigid endoscopes, laryngoscopes or bronchoscope sheaths, enabling access to the hypopharynx, larynx and proximal tracheobronchial tree.
Design & Configuration
The extended 40 cm shaft places the distal jaws at the working field while keeping the handle and control within the surgeon’s reach. A narrow shaft reduces obstruction of the visual field and allows passage through standard rigid endoscope channels. The Fig. 3 distal jaw geometry is configured to provide controlled, precise grasping and manipulation of small objects and delicate tissue, minimizing slippage and reducing mucosal trauma during retrieval.
