Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled occlusion of bronchial structures during open and thoracoscopic thoracic procedures. The right-angled Sarot bronchus clamp is used to temporarily isolate the bronchus or segmental bronchi during lobectomies, pneumonectomies, sleeve resections, bronchoplasties and trauma repairs, allowing the surgeon to control air leak and maintain a clear operative field while preparing for division or anastomosis.
Design & Configuration
The right-angled jaw geometry enables approach and occlusion of bronchial tissue from lateral and posterior angles commonly encountered in the thoracic cavity, improving access to the hilum and bronchial tree without excessive retraction. A locking ratchet on the handle permits secure, sustained closure at a chosen clamping force to maintain hemostasis and prevent slippage while suturing or stapling. The 23 cm length gives added reach into deep thoracic exposures while keeping the working ends accessible to the operating surgeon.
Instrument Specifications
- Instrument type: Bronchus occluding clamp
- Pattern / model: Sarot, right-angled
- Configuration: Right-angled jaws with locking ratchet
- Length: 23 cm
- Typical surgical use: Temporary bronchial occlusion during thoracic surgery
- Reusable: Yes
- Material: Surgical-grade stainless steel
Material & Construction
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance and repeated reprocessing. The construction emphasizes durable hinge and ratchet interfaces to withstand autoclave sterilization and routine clinical use. Jaw geometry is intended to provide secure occlusion while minimizing focal tissue trauma, consistent with standard bronchus clamp design principles.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
