Clinical Application
Designed for thoracic surgeons and OR teams, this Sarot bronchus clamp provides controlled, temporary occlusion of the left main bronchus or its branches during pulmonary resections, lobectomies, sleeve resections, bronchoplasties and other airway procedures. The left-curved configuration aligns with left-sided bronchial anatomy to facilitate secure occlusion of the bronchial lumen, help control air leaks, and allow safe creation and inspection of the bronchial stump prior to definitive closure.
Design & Configuration
The left-curved geometry positions the jaws along the natural angle of the left bronchial tree, improving access and visibility in the thoracic cavity while reducing the need for awkward instrument angulation. At 23 cm overall length the shaft provides reach into the chest during open thoracotomy or when working through a limited incision. A locking handle mechanism provides hands-free maintenance of occlusion so the surgeon can proceed with dissection or suturing while maintaining secure control of the airway.
