Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled soft-tissue retraction during procedures on the hand and distal forearm, this low-profile retractor is used to maintain exposure for tendon repairs, fracture fixation, debridement, soft-tissue closures and reconstructive work. Its compact footprint helps preserve surgical field access for fine dissection and suturing while minimizing soft-tissue compression.
Design & Configuration
The low-profile geometry positions the retractor blade close to the skin and wound edge to maximize exposure while reducing instrument bulk in tight operative fields. This configuration minimizes obstruction of visualization and instrumentation, making it easier to work around magnification loupes, microscopes or fluoroscopy. The blade geometry is optimized to hold tissues atraumatically and to provide stable retraction without excessive soft-tissue distortion.
