Clinical Application
Provides broad, atraumatically distributed retraction of the abdominal wall and superficial soft tissues in open general surgical procedures. The large 100 x 100 mm blade is intended to support and retract fascia and subcutaneous layers to maintain exposure for dissection, anastomosis, inspection, and closure. Useful in general, gynecologic and urologic open abdominal cases where a wide retraction surface and extended reach are required.
Design & Configuration
The square 100 x 100 mm blade offers a wide contact area to disperse retraction forces and reduce focal tissue pressure compared with narrow blades. The 31 cm overall length gives adequate reach into the abdominal cavity while remaining manageable for handheld use by the surgeon or assistant. The simple handheld configuration allows quick repositioning and incremental adjustments during exposure without the need for attachments or hooks.
