Clinical Application
Designed to provide focused soft-tissue retraction and exposure of the lamina during spinal procedures, this lamina retractor is used during laminectomy, laminotomy and other posterior spinal decompressions. The geometry and length are intended to permit deep access to the posterior elements while maintaining a low-profile working corridor for visualization, instrumentation, suction and endoscopic adjuncts. It is suitable for use in a range of spinal levels where controlled retraction of paraspinal musculature and soft tissue is required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument's configuration places a relatively long working length behind a slim blade profile to reach posterior elements without excessive soft-tissue retraction at the skin surface. A 125 mm working dimension combined with a 23 cm overall length offers extended reach for deeper exposures while allowing the assistant to maintain a secure grip outside the wound. The blade geometry is intended to provide stable tissue displacement with minimal bulk in the surgical field, supporting direct visualization and instrument access.
