Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled medial retraction within the Caspar retractor system, this blade facilitates exposure of the anterior cervical spine. It is used during anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and other anterior cervical approaches to retract soft tissues, maintain a central working corridor, and optimize visualization of the disc space and vertebral endplates.
Design & Configuration
The medial orientation positions the blade centrally within the retractor frame to provide focused midline retraction. Its profile and dimensions deliver stable contact with soft tissue while minimizing obstruction of the operative field. The blade is configured to mount to Caspar-style retractor arms, allowing the surgeon to fine-tune distraction and exposure without impeding instrument access.
