Clinical Application

Designed to provide focused, stable medial retraction during anterior cervical spine procedures. This medial blade is used with a Caspar cervical retractor system to maintain exposure of the anterior vertebral bodies and disc spaces during anterior cervical discectomy, fusion (ACDF), and related anterior cervical procedures. The blade’s footprint and profile are intended to distribute pressure across soft tissue while preserving the surgical corridor for instrumentation, discectomy, graft placement and anterior plating.

Design & Configuration

The medial orientation and flat contact area create a low‑profile, secure interface against midline soft tissues. The 45x23 mm footprint balances surface area and working space: large enough to provide stable retraction and reduce point pressure, yet compact enough to avoid encroaching on the operative field. The blade is configured to mount directly to Caspar retractor arms for rigid fixation and predictable retraction during microscope or fluoroscopic procedures.

Instrument Specifications

Material & Construction

Constructed in titanium (TiT) to provide a high strength‑to‑weight ratio and resistance to corrosion, supporting repeated use and sterilization cycles. The material choice reduces instrument weight at the working end, improving handling and surgeon control when mounted on the retractor system. Designed for repeated cleaning, inspection and sterilization according to facility protocols.

Quality & Compliance

Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.

Brand Comparison

Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
