Clinical Application
Designed for high-precision sectioning and controlled sharp dissection of soft tissue and surgical specimens. Common uses include trimming grafts, preparing tissue for pathology, fine-cutting in reconstructive procedures, and other situations that require a thin, keen edge for predictable incisions with minimal drag and tissue distortion.
Design & Configuration
The hollow grind on one side produces a very thin, acute cutting edge on the bevelled face while leaving the flat face intact. This single-sided geometry gives the operator directional control over the cut and a predictable plane of sectioning, which is advantageous when shallow or highly controlled incisions are required. The hollow-ground geometry also reduces resistance through tissue, improving tactile feedback and minimizing tearing or crushing adjacent tissues.
