Clinical Application
Designed as a reusable metal scalpel handle, this instrument provides a secure platform for exchangeable disposable blades and is intended for making precise skin and soft-tissue incisions. It is suitable for use across a broad range of procedures in general surgery, minor procedures, dermatology, plastic surgery, and outpatient/ambulatory care where controlled cutting and frequent blade changes are required.
Design & Configuration
The handle uses a blade-mounting tang configuration that provides a stable, low-profile connection between handle and blade to maintain blade alignment during cutting. The metal construction provides balanced weight and tactile feedback for fine control of depth and direction of incision. Because the handle is reusable, it is intended to be paired with single-use disposable scalpel blades to combine the cutting performance of a fresh blade with the durability of a metal handle.
