Clinical Application
Designed for intranasal tissue handling, these Struycken-pattern forceps provide controlled grasping and manipulation of mucosa, small cartilage segments and loose tissue during rhinologic procedures such as septoplasty, turbinate work, polypectomy and other endonasal interventions. The two offered shaft lengths allow selection based on patient anatomy and operative depth—shorter shafts for anterior work, longer shafts for deeper or posterior access and endoscopic assistance.
Design & Configuration
The Fig. 1 Struycken geometry is optimized for access within the confined nasal cavity. A slim shaft profile and precise jaw alignment facilitate visibility and maneuverability under endoscopic or direct visualization. Multiple shaft lengths support procedural ergonomics: choosing the appropriate length reduces hand intrusion into the surgical field and improves reach to targeted intranasal structures.
